Dad's Little Buddy

Austin really loves hanging out with Danny these days, and as you can see from this picture, he likes to dress like him too. If Danny goes anywhere, Austin goes with him. Austin can't wait for Danny to get home from work everyday. Last Sunday Danny and my Dad took Austin and Natalie on a horse ride and they had fun, but I heard later from Natalie that at one point they were both crying because the horses were being a little crazy. Danny never mentions anything like that of course, but I'm so glad they are able to spend time together and have fun with Dad.

Fun at Jumpin Jacks!

We finally made it to Jumpin Jacks, Natalie has been begging to go forever. We went yesterday with Emily, Ian, Brock and Sawyer. It was a lot of fun and a great way to burn some energy on a windy day. The kids loved it!
Austin started getting tired towards the end and would look at the stairs leading to a slide and say "Stairs! I just can't make it, I'm dyin"

We wanted to go at a time when it would not be very crowded, so I got Natalie out of school early. I told her it wasn't a really good reason to miss school so she shouldn't tell everyone where she was going. She agreed not to, and then when I picked her up she said "everyone is so jealous that I am going to Jumpin Jacks, even my teacher" How do they know where you're going I asked?? "Oh SORRY MOM I forgot", Ha imagine that! Well our plan worked and it was not crowded at all, at one point we were the only ones there. Even Emily and I went down a few slides. It is really hard to climb those stairs, the are so slippery! I can see why Austin got tired. Anyway we all had lots of fun and we will definitely go back soon.

Feeding the Ducks

We decided that today looked like a great day for feeding ducks. It wasn't quite as warm as it looked, so we couldn't stay long, but it was really nice to get a little fresh air.

The ducks were happy to see us.

Makenna really loved watching the ducks & cruising in the stroller. Austin always finds a stick (or three) that he can't leave behind.

We LOVE Valentine's Day!

Natalie finally got the chance to put Gram's valentine box making skills to the test. Every other year they have just made bags at school, but this year they got to make and bring a box. We always made boxes when I was in school and my Mom always had great ideas, so when I found out Natalie needed to make a box I told her to call Gram. This is the cute box they made together. Natalie loves it and "is going to keep it forever and ever" Natalie's valentine hairdo for school.

Austin with his Valentine's from preschool. They had a fun party and exchanged cards and treats, Austin was so excited and loved every minute of it!

Friday night we had a special family dinner and then gave the kids a valentine present. Gram and Pop also came over Friday and brought them a valentine. They gave Austin a new cowboy hat and he hasn't taken it off since.

Growing up too Fast!

Makenna is growing up so fast! She is 7 months old now, I can't believe how time flies! She is changing so much and learning lots of new things, she still is not crawling, but can pretty much get wherever she wants to go by rolling around and scooting. She is such a fun and happy girl and is always making us laugh. We are so happy to have her in our family.

She discovered that she loves eating "real food" and making a real big mess!

Goodbye January!

It's been almost a month since I blogged anything. I guess January is kind of a boring month for everyone, I for one am glad that January is all but over. Last year at this time we were getting ready to go to Disneyland, wish we were doing the same thing this year. The kids and Danny have been enjoying playing in the snow that never seems to end. We have also been working on remodeling our kitchen and entry/mud room, although it sometimes seems impossible to get anything done with kids around. I have managed to get everything painted in the kitchen and we bought tile last weekend for behind the sink, now we just need to find the time to put it up. Hopefully by the end of February we will have everything finished, the impatient person that I am might go crazy by then, but it will be nice when it's done.

New Year's Day

On New Year's Day we went bowling and then to lunch with everyone in my family. I guess it's our New Year's tradition, I think we have done it for the past 3 years. We all had lots of fun.

Natalie had lots of fun and beat Mom by 4 points.

Austin and Brock had fun bowling, but started losing interest towards

the end and wandered over to the video games.

Makenna enjoyed all of the sights and sounds.

After bowling we all went to lunch and used the gift certificates we got from G&G Warner for Christmas. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma, it was yummy! Here is one end of the table...
